Firearms Self-Defense Course Navigating threats with firearms knowledge and expertise! 4 hour class from 10:00 am-2:00 pm Firepower Range 1200 Industrial Drive, Matthews, North Carolina 28105 In the face of a deadly force encounter, law enforcement may be minutes away. This course is meticulously crafted to develop and enhance your survival skillset, transforming you into a more adept, efficient, and responsible gun owner. Whether you carry concealed daily or are still getting comfortable with the idea, this course is for you. Firearms Self-Defense is a comprehensive firearms training course that prioritizes personal safety, self-defense, and protection. Students will be instilled with crucial skills for responsible firearm use in their day-to-day personal protection. Upon completion, you’ll not only experience a renewed confidence in your shooting proficiency, but also gain a heightened awareness of the ethical and legal aspects of personal protection. Students will participate with their personal firearms and firearm accessories to gain comfortability and confidence with their everyday carry practices. Kevin and Kirsten’s hands-on approach ensures a practical and effective learning experience tailored to each individual’s needs. In this course we will cover: • Legal Considerations • Proper Gun Handling • Marksmanship Fundamentals • Diverse Shooting Techniques • Drawing from Concealed • Defensive Tactics for Weapon Retention • Tactical Shooting Considerations • Strategic Movement/Stress Shooting • Cover/Concealment Utilization • Critical Thinking and Decision-Making Skills in High-pressure Situations What To Bring: • Comfortable clothing that you would typically wear on a day-to-day basis. (Clothing that covers your legs is recommended--yoga pants, jeans, etc) • Wear close-toed shoes---no sandals • Semi-automatic handgun (or revolver) and magazine with 200 rounds (Bring multiple magazines if you have them, but it is not necessary) • Holsters: bring any holster or bag you carry your firearm in so that you can practice with it. (Kydex holsters with a good clip that stays in place is highly recommended) • Range glasses and hearing protection is recommended, but can be rented at the range • Pen and paper • Bring a lunch, snacks, and water NOTE: If you do not own a firearm, you can rent and test different options to determine what works best for you!
